Have a look at anything by Martin Amis, especially 'Money', "The Information" & "London Fields". You will either love it or hate it.
You can check out Amis's books on Amazon by running a search for him there. Plenty of reader reviews to go through, but remember he tends to polarize readers so some just hate him while others think he's terrific.
I loved The Brothers K. I've read it twice, most recently about four years ago. I think it's time to pick it up again...
Only one suggestion, it's another one to read again and again: Travels With Charley, John Steinbeck.
